Job Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Job Overview
We are currently hiring an experienced Rough Terrain Forklift Operator for an active commercial construction project in Charlotte, NC. This role is ideal for skilled equipment operators who have hands-on experience working on outdoor construction sites and understand jobsite safety and material handling.
This is not a warehouse position. The work involves operating forklifts on uneven ground and within live construction environments.
Pay Rate
- Rate depends on experience and certification
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift safely on a commercial construction site
- Move, load, and place construction materials as directed
- Communicate with site supervisors and crew members for accurate placement
- Perform daily equipment safety inspections
- Follow all site safety rules and procedures
- Assist with general site support tasks when required
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of forklift operating experience (construction site experience preferred)
Valid forklift operator certification required
- Experience working outdoors and around active construction crews
- Must bring required PPE (hard hat, safety vest, gloves, safety glasses, work boots)
- Ability to pass drug screening and background checks if required
- Strong safety awareness and professional attitude
