Location: Houston, TX
We are seeking experienced Orbital Welders for a long-term commercial and industrial construction project in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. This opportunity is intended for highly skilled welders only with proven hands-on experience in orbital welding applications.
Please note: This position does not include on-the-job training. Applicants without prior orbital welding experience should not apply.
Position Overview:
Project Type: Commercial Construction
Primary Work Area: Houston, TX
Start Date: Immediate, following successful certification
Schedule: Full-time (minimum 40 hours per week)
Certification & Testing Requirement:
Candidates must be willing and able to complete a coupon weld certification test at the company’s testing facility in Greensboro, NC prior to starting work.
TIG/GTAW testing preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Orbital Welders will be responsible for high-precision welding tasks, including:
- Performing orbital welds on stainless steel and sanitary piping systems
- Using autogenous and filler wire welding techniques as required
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and weld specifications
- Producing clean, high-quality welds with minimal supervision
- Following all safety procedures and quality standards
- Working collaboratively with project teams on active job sites
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of orbital welding experience
- Ability to pass a coupon weld test
- Strong knowledge of orbital welding procedures and TIG/GTAW processes
- Experience with stainless steel and sanitary piping systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to job sites and testing facility
- Commitment to working at least 40 hours per week
- Must remain drug-free on the job
